Oleksandr Burlaka (born 1982 in Kyiv, Ukraine) graduated at Faculty of Architecture at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture in Kyiv. Takes part in Melnychuk-Burlaka group, Grupa Predmetiv, interdisciplinary curatorial association Hudrada and Art Workers’ Self-defense Initiative. Has been contributing to Soviet Modernism 1955-1991: Unknown History published by Vienna Centre of Architecture, where he was responsible for research and collecting materials on that topic, Tresspassing Modernities (Istanbul) and A Parallel Modernity. Soviet Architecture 1956-1991 (San Paolo) exhibitions. Works in Kiev, as an artist.
