Ibro Hasanović (born 1981, Ljubovija, Yugoslavia) is Bosnian artist, currently living and working in Prishtina. He has realized many solo and group exhibitions and screenings. He studied Product design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo and completed his studies in contemporary art and cinema at Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains in France.
The main topic of his work is individual and collective memory that he manifest in films, videos, photography and installation. His works featured in exhibitions at: Turku Art Museum, Finland (2012); Open Space – Zentrum für Kunstprojekte, Vienna; SPACE Gallery, Bratislava; Galleria A+A (Slovenian Exhibition Centre), Venice; 52nd October Salon, Belgrade; Panorama 13, Le Fresnoy; Brot Kunsthall, Vienna; Nappe Arsenale, Venice; Thessaloniki Concert Hall (2011); City Museum of Ljubljana; P74 Center and Gallery, Ljubljana (2010), Galleria d’Arte Moderna Palazzo Forti, Verona; Galerija Galženica, Velika Gorica (2009), Washington Project for the Arts (WPA), Washington DC (2008), 1st International Annual Exhibition SPAPORT, Banja Luka (2008), as well as the Busan Metropolitan Art Museum, South Korea (2006). In 2007 Hasanovic was a finalist of ZVONO Young Visual Artist Award, organized by Sarajevo Center for Contemporary Art. In 2011 he won the Special Prize at 5th International Art Prize Arte Laguna in Venice. In 2013 he attended Artist-in-Residence Programme in Ljubljana and Vienna.
