Ruti Sela, Artist, her works are shown internationally at various exhibitions and venues, including the Biennale of Sidney (2006) Istanbul Biennial (2009), Berlin Biennial (2010); Manifesta 8 (2010), Israel Museum, Centre Pompidou, Paris; Art in General, New York; Tel-Aviv Museum, Tate Modern, Jeu de Paume, ZKM among many others. In 2009 she initiated together with Maayan Amir and art project titled “The Exterritory Project” on which they have won an award for young artists from The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO, 2011).She have studied art at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design where she graduated with excellency as well as studied at the MFA program at the Film Department of the Tel Aviv University. She teaches at the Haifa University ,Avni Institute of Art and Design and at the MFA program at the Midrasha Art School. Throughout 2011, she has been a guest resident at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam.
Maayan Amir, artist and independent curator. She holds and MFA in cinema and She is currently a PhD candidate at the Research Architecture Program at Goldsmiths University of London. She edited a book about Israeli documentary cinema which was published on 2008. She had curated many exhibitions in different venues. Her collaborative works with Ruti Sela are shown internationally in exhibitions such as the Sidney Biennale (2006) Istanbul Biennale (2009), Berlin Biennale (2010) and venues such as Centre Pompidou (Paris), Art in General (NY), Tate Modern, Jeu de Paume, among many others places. In 2009 she initiated together with Ruti Sela “The Exterritory Project” on which they have won an award (2011) for young artist from the The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). She is teaching Theory at Bezalel MfA program, Sapir Academic College Technion and in other academic institute. Throughout 2011, she has been a guest resident at the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam.
